Monsoon Mania, 2009

The 1st Monsoon Mania was held on the 9th of August, 2009. It was held in an open-air hall, Alva mar. This day event   (10.30 to 5.00 pm) helps to promote and keep alive some of the traditional Goan way of life, consisting of Goan music, Goan food, and almost forgotten traditional Goan games. The Goan famous instrument Ghumot is played by musicians. Also, Trios or Duos singers, bring nostalgic memories of famous Goan Konkani / English songs. Other Goan musical groups are also invited, thereby giving the feeling to the guests and invitees that the Vibgyor Charitable Trust is trying its best to showcase the Goan Society. Our special invitees are the children from underprivileged Institutes. The Trust tries to ensure that these children are felt wanted by other guests, who are better placed in Goa society. All the collections from the events were given and donated to the orphans.

Surprise gifts are also given away to the Guest on the occasion. On average around 450 to 500 guests come to this event, including some outstation guests
